Using its natural attributes to its fullest advantage, the golf course at Magnolia Plantation Golf Club weaves a tapestry of towering trees, abundant lakes and conservation land into one of the most exciting golf experiences in Central Florida.
Tim Coolican, the new owner and Director of Golf, has completed an extensive 6-month renovation assisted by golf course designer Tommy Fazio.
It's not the old Magnolia Plantation anymore, said Coolican. We have made many changes and upgrades to the original architect's (Dave Harmons) creation. All the greens have been replaced using tif-eagle, we've reshaped all the bunkers and put in new sand, and renovated approaches on 14 holes. We've reshaped and recontoured several fairways and improved drainage throughout the course.
The result is a course that remains challenging for low handicappers while becoming more playable for recreational golfers.
